If there ever was a sign that jailbreaking iPhones and iPads is becoming more mainstream, this is it.  Just a few days ago, Chronic Dev Team released Absinthe 2.0, an application that  provides an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 devices.  Since the time Absinthe 2.0 was released, Chronic Dev Team reports it has been used to jailbreak more than 1.2 million iOS devices.  For those keeping score, that’s 1.2 million devices in just 3 days.  The modding community has spoken, people want more control over their iOS devices.
