Apple Ditching Google Maps in Next Version of iOS

Apple ditches Maps

It looks as if Apple will be cutting the cord, and going it alone when it comes to mapping software for the next version of iOS. 聽Based on information from聽“trusted sources”, 9to5Mac reports Apple will no longer use Google Maps, and will instead provide their own in-house maps app called, Maps. 聽The big feature of Apple’s Maps app, will be its 3D mode. The 3D mode is said to provide聽“photo-realistic models of the world for search, navigation, and geographic information systems”. 聽The next version of iOS,聽iOS 6 is expected to be announced mid-June at Apple’s聽World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC).
