AT&T to Soon Offer Family Data Plans
It looks like AT&T plans to take a page out of Verizon’s book, and start offering shared data plans. CNet reports AT&T CEO of mobile business Ralph de la Vega, confirmed the company will indeed begin offering family data plans. Family data plans will allow customers to share one allotment of data between multiple devices. So if a customer owns a smartphone and a tablet, they can have one plan providing data to both devices, instead of having to pay for separate plans for each device. Unfortunately, de la Vega did not provide any specifics regarding pricing. bandwidth allotments, or availability.
