Rumor has it that Samsung will be releasing their incredibly underwhelming Galaxy Mini 2 some time later this month. 聽The Galaxy Mini 2 comes packing some amazingly yawn inducing specs, and is obviously only an entry level phone (though it is pretty low end even for entry level). 聽True to its “Mini” name, the screen is a mere 480×320 3.3″ display. 聽Under the hood you’ll find a paltry 800mhz single core processor accompanied by an unknown amount of RAM. 聽The cell radio is hsdpa and capable of only 7.2Mbps. 聽The camera promises not to blow you away with its 3mp tiny sensor. 聽Obviously this phone is not aimed at the high end market, or even the mid tier range for that matter. 聽I suppose it could be considered an entry level device, though I hesitate to even call it that. 聽I’m a bit perplexed as to why this phone is even being released. 聽Perhaps two years ago this would have been an acceptable entry level device, but nowadays a phone with those specs couldn’t even serve as a doorstop. 聽I considered using it as a paperweight, but I require my paperweights to have at least a 1ghz processor.
