Galaxy S3 Will Feature Samsung’s New Exynos 4 Quad Processor

This one can now be removed from the rumor category and placed into the fact stack. 聽Samsung has officially announced their new Exynos 4 Quad processor will “be adopted first into Samsung鈥檚 next Galaxy smartphone that will officially be announced in May”. 聽Consistent with its name, the Exynos 4 Quad is Samsung’s next-gen quad-core processor. 聽The Exynos 4 Quad is an A9 chip, based on a 32nm process. 聽Samsung boasts the Exynos 4 Quad “has two times the processing capability over the 45nm process based Exynos 4 Dual while consuming 20-percent less power.” 聽The Exynos 4 Quad is currently in production, and we can expect more information on its availability during Samsung’s Mobile Unpacked Event, May 3rd.
