Typically, a $200 tablet isn’t going to be worth taking a second look at. 聽At least that used to be the case before today. 聽As of today, Google has changed all that with the announcement of the Nexus 7 tablet. 聽The Nexus 7 tablet is the perfect combination of low-end tablet pricing, with high-end tablet specs. 聽Featuring a quad-core Tegra 3 processor along with 1gb of RAM, the Nexus 7 is definitely no slouch. 聽The Nexus 7 will also feature a 7″ HD (1280×800) IPS Gorilla Glass display, 8gb or 16gb of storage space (depending on which model you get), and a feature we hadn’t seen in a high-end tablet prior to now, NFC. 聽Google’s Nexus 7 tablet will ship running Android 4.1 Jellybean, making it the first device to run Google’s upcoming version of Android. 聽If those features weren’t enough of a reason to buy a Nexus 7, how about this? 聽Google is also including a $25 Google Play credit along with the purchase of a Nexus 7 tablet. 聽The Nexus 7 is available for purchase now in the Google Play Store, for $199 (8gb model) and $249 (16gb model), with a ship date of “2-3 weeks”.
