Today Google has introduced yet another way for app developers to monetize their work. 聽Google has launched in-app subscriptions to the Google Play Store. 聽In-app subscriptions allows developers to sell monthly or annual subscriptions from inside their app. 聽Developers can utilize in-app subscriptions to monetize “journals and magazines, but they can also use them to sell access to bundled products, game levels, music and video content, value-added services, or any other digital content”. 聽All subscriptions are auto-renewing, and details of a customer’s current subscriptions is available in the “My Apps” section of the Play Store. 聽Customers can also visit this section to cancel subscriptions they no longer wish to continue.
