I’m Rooting for Sprint, and You Should Be Too

sprint thumbs up

Today Sprint has taken the first step in what is a very important move for not only them, but also for you, the consumer. 聽Today marks the official launch of Sprint’s LTE network. 聽While the launch only occurred in five cities, Sprint does have plans to continue the roll out and have it just about complete by the end of 2013. 聽I’m hoping this LTE roll out goes much better than their WiMax roll out did. 聽As you may be aware, Sprint’s WiMax roll out failed miserably for several different reasons. 聽This time around, Sprint is going with LTE, and I am wishing them much success. 聽Sprint is the last major carrier offering truly unlimited data plans. 聽Combined with access to a high speed LTE network, unlimited data has the potential to be a powerful offering for the Now Network. 聽My hope is, if Sprint can successfully roll out LTE and keep the unlimited data plans in place, it will force the other major carriers to offer more competitive data plans. 聽Perhaps even, it could spur the other major carriers to once again offer unlimited data plans. 聽While the idea may seem a bit far-fetched, if Sprint is successful enough, it is indeed possible. 聽This is why I’m rooting for Sprint, and you should be too.
