This week, a mod was released on XDA that brought聽Google Wallet compatibility to the US variants of the Galaxy S3. 聽Prior to the mod, only the Sprint version could work with Google Wallet. 聽The Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T version all were met with an error when attempting to open Google Wallet. 聽The error basically stated that either the device or the carrier was not supported in Google Wallet. 聽This is just plain stupid. 聽Google has gone out of their way to deny Google Wallet access to 3 out of 4 US Galaxy S3 variants, yet they want the service to catch on and grow. 聽How does Google expect to gain more Google Wallet users when they are turning them away when they attempt to use the app? 聽That is ridiculous, and a horrible way to do business. 聽Google should be trying to get Google Wallet onto every phone they possibly can. 聽Instead, they are restricting it to certain phones and severely limiting their possible user base. 聽This is yet another reason Google Wallet is failing and will continue to fail. 聽Isis can’t get here soon enough.
