This week Verizon has proved they are indeed full of it. 聽As you may already be aware, Verizon’s Galaxy S3 has a locked bootloader. 聽Verizon’s so-called reason for the locked bootloader, is they don’t want phones with unlocked bootloaders causing issues on the network and affecting other customers. 聽While on the surface this may sound like a reasonable reason, when you look a little closer it becomes clear that is complete bull. 聽If Verizon was truly concerned about devices with unlocked bootloaders causing network issues, they would never have allowed the Galaxy Nexus to hit their network with an unlocked bootloader. 聽Furthermore, now Samsung is selling Verizon Galaxy S3′s with unlocked bootloaders directly. 聽If there really was a network threat because of unlocked bootloaders, then why would Verizon be willing to activate Galaxy S3′s with unlocked bootloaders sold directly by Samsung? 聽If there was any doubt, Verizon has now eliminated it. 聽They are indeed full of it.
