Instagram is Annoying as H#$%
Initially, when Instagram was released on Android there was a certain amount of backlash in the iPhone community. Many iPhone fans were upset that their exclusive title would now be made available to Android phone owners. As an Android owner, I didn’t really care very much that Instagram would be available on my smartphone. Now that Instagram has been out on Android for a few weeks, it has set the Android world ablaze. When I log on Facebook, it seems the majority of the pictures people post now, are from Instagram. People are using Instagram like it’s the actual camera app. Nowadays, it seems the camera app is no longer sufficient. Taking a normal looking picture is no longer acceptable. Instead, that picture of your dinner plate has to have a sepia filter on it. That picture of your tennis shoes has to have a vignette filter on it…because a normal picture of your shoes isn’t fancy enough. All Instagram is, is a way to take pictures, put an unnecessary filter on them, and share them. This isn’t the first app out there that can do this, but for some reason it seems people feel compelled to use the app just because it’s there. It doesn’t make your pictures looks better (and often times make them look worse). It’s just picture taking (with filters) and sharing. It’s nothing special. Let’s move on please.
