Is Samsung’s Galaxy S3 Making the HTC One X Feel the Heat?

50 percent price drop

It’s not unusual to see cell carriers drop the prices of their phones, however it is a bit unsual to see them drop a phone’s price within 2 months of its release. 聽That’s exactly what happened with AT&T’s HTC One X. 聽The One X was released on AT&T in May, and now has seen it’s price cut in half, from $200 to $100 on contract. 聽I’d venture to guess Samsung’s newly released Galaxy S3 may have a lot to do with the One X’s price drop, as the Galaxy S3 has certainly been the most dominant of the two flagship smartphones. 聽Now AT&T has given it’s customers more to think about when choosing between the two next-gen flagships. 聽Whereas before, at the same price, it was an easy decision choosing between the One X and the Galaxy S3, now it’s a bit more difficult. 聽Customers now have to decide if the Galaxy S3 is $100 better than the One X. 聽That’s not an easy choice to make at all.
