When it comes to NFC based mobile wallets, while Google Wallet doesn’t seem to be doing much, Isis is showing they are playing for keeps.  Today Isis announced they have partnered with American Express.  This new partnership means Isis has now added even more ammunition to their stockpile, with sights set on gaining a stranglehold on the NFC payments industry when they launch.  Isis now has partnerships in place with American Express, Capital One, Chase, Barclaycard, Visa, and Mastercard.  Isis is due to launch in mid-2012 starting in Salt Lake City and Austin, followed by a national rollout.
