Android-Jellybean

With the release of Android 4.1 Jellybean comes the inevitable question, when will your device receive the update to Android’s newest version?  For Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3, and Galaxy Note owners, that question may now be answered.  I’ll preface this by saying, this was not confirmed by Samsung,  but sammobile.com has stated they are privy to Samsung’s update plans (and have posted them).  According to sammobile.com, Samsung does plan to update the Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3, and Galaxy Note to Android 4.1 Jellybean.  Per the report, here are Samsung’s update plans:

  • Galaxy S III – End Q3 begin Q4
  • Galaxy S II – Q4
  • Galaxy Note – Q4

Again, Samsung has not made an official announcement regarding their update plans, so this is all just rumor at this point.  It is also worth mentioning these timelines may not be the same for US customers, due to the extra time it takes for the carriers to add their customizations/bloatware.
