LG Announced World’s First HD 1080p Smartphone Display

LG has announced the next step in the progression of smartphone displays, full hd 1080p. 聽LG introduced an eye popping 1920×1080 5″ smartphone display. 聽The display is an AH-IPS (Advanced High Perfomance In-Plane Switching) panel with a retina display destroying 440ppi pixel density. 聽With this display being full hd, it quite naturally brings with it, a 16:9 aspect ratio. 聽Beginning June 4th, LG will exihibit it’s 1080p display at聽SID 2012 Display Week in Boston. 聽LG聽plans to release their 5″ 1080p display the second half of this year. 聽No word was mentioned regarding what smartphone this display will be found in.
