So here we are, once again speculating about the guts of the next iPhone. 聽This time around, the rumor mill is churning out word the next iPhone will feature a quad-core processor built by Samsung. 聽According to the rumors, the quad-core processor would be a modified Exynos 4 series chip. 聽Of course this is purely rumor, and quite frankly, I wouldn’t put much stock into it. 聽For one, the next iPhone is likely to include LTE, which if the Exynos rumors are true, would mean it would not include LTE (due to compatibility issues). 聽Second, it doesn’t seem very likely Samsung would give Apple an Exynos processor, even if it’s a modified version. 聽In summary, there are too many reasons this rumor probably isn’t true, so we’ll put it in the far fetched category. 聽In the meantime, we’ll keep our ears open.
