According to a report by the Digitimes, Google has tabbed Samsung as the manufacturer of the next Nexus Smartphone.  The reports points at Samsung’s “innovation ability with regard to the Android platform, and its ability to control the supply of key components” as the primary reasons for Google choosing Samsung to build the next Nexus.  While no estimated release date was mentioned, with the Nexus line of smartphones being released annually, it’s probably safe to expect it some time during the fourth quarter of this year.
