Broken Promise

If you are a Sony Xperia Play owner awaiting the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update Sony promised to deliver, I’ve got a bit of bad news for you. 聽Today Sony has updated their list of devices that will receive an update to Android 4.0, and the Xperia Play is no longer on that list. 聽Sony points to stability issues as being the reason for the Xperia Play’s exclusion on the list. 聽Sony states聽“a consistent and stable experience, particularly with gaming, cannot be guaranteed for this smartphone on Ice Cream Sandwich”, and the newest version of Android聽“would have compromised stability”.聽 Hopefully, Sony won’t run into these same types of issues upgrading their other devices.
