It seems that nowadays, cell carriers are moving toward tiered everything. 聽In this case, it is Sprint that is moving to a tiered system. 聽Fortunately, it isn’t tiered data, but instead a tiered system for Sprint’s Total Equipment Protection Plan. 聽As of June 17th, both the insurance monthly payment and the deductible will be dictated by the cost of the phone. 聽The more expensive the phone, the higher the deductible, and the more the insurance costs monthly. 聽Phones costing less than $549.99 will cost $8 per month to insure, while phones costing more than that will be $11 per month 聽to insure. 聽Deductibles will follow a similar structure.

  • Phones costing $324.99 or less: 聽$50 deductible
  • Phones costing $325 – $549.98: 聽$100 deductible
  • Phones costing $549.99 – $599.99: 聽$150 deductible
  • Phones costing $600 or more: 聽$200 deductible
