As you may already know, Verizon will be instituting it’s new shared data plans starting June 28th. 聽What you may not be aware of, is Verizon’s intent to introduce a new extra fee along with that shared data plan. 聽The new fee will be called a “Monthly Line Access Charge” (MLAC), and will cost you an extra amount of money on top of your bill. 聽It is not clear how much the MLAC will be when Verizon tacks the extra charge onto your bill, but one thing is for sure, an extra charge isn’t warranted. 聽Call me old-school, but I’m of the mind that paying my bill is what gives me “monthly line access”, not an extra fee. 聽But hey, that’s just what I think. 聽Apparently Verizon may not agree.
